Getting started

How to connect your PDF Blocks account to Zapier and add a PDF Blocks action to a Zap. No code to write, and no document is stored after the Zap runs.

To start using PDF Blocks with Zapier, you need two accounts:

  • A Zapier account.
  • A PDF Blocks account. If you don’t have one, you can start a 14-day trial.

Your API key

You can get your API key in your dashboard.

This API key only gives the holder (for example your Zapier account) access to the PDF Blocks service. Someone with the API key can’t access your documents or private input data because we don’t store your documents or data. Anyway, keep it safe and don’t post it in public.

If your key is ever compromised, contact support to have it reset.

Connect your account

The next step is to link your PDF Blocks account to your Zapier account. You need to do this one time and the connection will be saved for future zaps. When adding a PDF Blocks action, click the blue Sign in to PDF Blocks button. A window will open asking for your PDF Blocks API key.

In API Endpoint use:

  • api.pdfblocks.com to use any available server.
  • eu.api.pdfblocks.com to use only European servers.

Leave the default global API Endpoint to use any available server. If you want your documents processed exclusively in European servers, choose the European-only endpoint.

Available actions

Once your account is connected, you can use any of the PDF Blocks actions in your zaps:

  • Merge PDF documents
  • Add a password to a PDF
  • Add a text watermark to a PDF
  • Add an image watermark to a PDF
  • Extract pages from a PDF
